Attendance Tracking Platform Raises $4M

TeamSense, a text-based attendance tracking platform for hourly workers, raised $4m in seed funding to expand and scale its product. The round was led by Bonfire Ventures, with participation from Operator Collective.

The company, based in Mukilteo, WA, is led by CEO Sheila Stafford. TeamSense allows employees to self-report absence reasons with standardized codes and timestamps, and receive company communications via text in dozens of different languages. The target market for TeamSense is manufacturing businesses with hourly workforces. The funding will be used to develop new features, expand into new markets, and hire more employees. TeamSense is competing with other attendance tracking platforms, such as Kronos and Workday.

The company is confident that its text-based solution will be more convenient and user-friendly than traditional attendance tracking methods.
