Teale, a Paris-based mental health platform for employees, has raised €10 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Alter Equity and Bpifrance’s Digital Venture fund, with participation from current backers ISAI and Evolem.
The company was founded in 2021 by Julia Néel Biz, Geoffroy Verzat, Nicolas Merlaud, and Gilles Rasigade. Teale provides a holistic mental health platform that uses technology and cognitive and behavioral sciences to engage and support employees through individual coaching, transform culture, and prevent risks through collective support. In the 30 months since its creation, Teale has grown to a team of 25 employees, supported by a hundred professionals. The company serves more than 100 customers, including Sanofi, SNCF, Carrefour, BearingPoint, EY, Cartier, and BETC.
Teale plans to use the new funding to expand operations, development efforts, and its team. The company also plans to launch new features and services, such as a peer-to-peer support community and a mental health library. Teale’s funding round is a sign of the growing importance of mental health in the workplace. As the pandemic has exacerbated mental health challenges, employers are increasingly looking for ways to support their employees’ well-being. Teale’s platform is well-positioned to meet this need, and I am confident that the company will continue to grow and succeed.
