Snack Brand Raises $12M

SkinnyDipped, a Seattle-based snack brand that makes lower-sugar snacks, has raised $12 million in Series A funding. The round was led by David Grutman, a Miami-based hospitality entrepreneur. Dozens of other investors also participated, including celebrities and athletes such as Alesso, Kevin Durant, Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Marshmello, and Sebastian Ingrosso.

The company plans to use the funds to continue its retail expansion, support philanthropic efforts, and develop new products. SkinnyDipped is committed to creating snacks that are lower in sugar and made with non-GMO, gluten-free, and kosher ingredients. Founded by the mother-daughter duo of Breezy and Val Griffith, SkinnyDipped was launched in 2016. The company's products are currently available in over 25,000 retail stores nationwide.
