AskUI, a UI automation company based in Karlsruhe, Germany, has raised €4.3 million in funding. The round was led by Eurazeo, with participation from existing investors 468 Capital, LEA Partners, APX, and Seedcamp, as well as existing angels Carsten Thoma and Christian Stiebner.
Founded in 2021 by Jonas Menesklou and Dominik Klotz, AskUI provides developers with a solution that brings vision to code for UI automation of any use case on any operating system. The company's AI, James, performs element addressing completely independent of underlying selectors, making it possible to automate any UI element, regardless of its appearance or location. AskUI's API enables the creation of test cases in just a few steps. The user is guided through the test steps by suggesting actions to be performed. In addition, relations between different UI elements can be defined, which can help to detect errors that would otherwise be hidden.
